TEDDY AXLE CO. LIMITED WARRANTY

 

Warranty Coverage

This Limited Warranty applies to axle systems and related components manufactured by Teddy Axle Co. (each referred to as a “Product,” collectively the “Products”). Proper installation, operation, servicing, and maintenance — as outlined in the Teddy Axle Co. Operation, Maintenance, and Service documentation — are required conditions for warranty eligibility. Routine wear from normal use is not covered (see “Exclusions”).

Subject to the terms outlined in this warranty, Teddy Axle Co. guarantees to the original retail purchaser (“Purchaser”) that its Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship beginning on the date of the original retail purchase, and for the warranty periods listed below.

Warranty Periods by Product Type

Spring Axles — Limited 8-Year Warranty
Spring axles are covered for eight (8) years from the original retail purchase date. Coverage does not extend to individual components that carry shorter warranty periods, including grease seals, bearings, and leaf spring suspension elements.

Torsion Axles — Limited 10-Year Warranty
Torsion axles are covered for ten (10) years from the original retail purchase date. This coverage excludes individual components with shorter warranty terms, including grease seals and bearings.

Leaf Spring Suspension Systems — Limited 5-Year Warranty
Leaf spring assemblies and associated suspension components are covered for five (5) years.

Bearings — Limited 3-Year Warranty
Bearings installed in Teddy Axle Co. Products are covered for three (3) years.

Grease Seals — Limited 1-Year Warranty
Grease seals used within Teddy Axle Co. Products are covered for one (1) year.

This Limited Warranty applies only to the original retail purchase of the Products by the Purchaser. Teddy Axle Co. does not provide warranty coverage for components added, modified, or installed by any party other than Teddy Axle Co. Any performance risks not specifically covered under this warranty remain the responsibility of the Purchaser.

Non-Transferability

This Limited Warranty is provided solely to the original Purchaser and cannot be transferred, assigned, or extended to any subsequent owner, user, or third party — including buyers of trailers or equipment incorporating Teddy Axle Co. Products.

Exclusive Remedy

If a Product defect covered by this Limited Warranty is confirmed during the applicable warranty period — and the Purchaser has complied with all operating, maintenance, and service requirements — Teddy Axle Co. will determine the appropriate remedy at its sole discretion. Remedies may include:

  • Repair of the affected Product or component

  • Replacement of the defective component or complete Product

  • Exchange of the Product for a refund equal to the lesser of the original purchase price or the current list price

Approval from Teddy Axle Co. must be obtained in writing prior to any repair or replacement work. Unauthorized repairs may void remaining warranty coverage and will not be reimbursed.

This remedy represents the Purchaser’s sole and exclusive recourse and defines the full extent of Teddy Axle Co.’s liability under this warranty.

Replacement parts or Products assume the remaining warranty period of the original Product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair — whichever is longer. Any replaced or refunded item becomes the property of Teddy Axle Co., and replacement Products become the property of the Purchaser.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, the Purchaser must comply with the following:

  • Be the original retail purchaser of the trailer or equipment in which the Product was installed

  • Ensure Products were installed, operated, and maintained according to industry standards and Teddy Axle Co. documentation

  • Cover all routine service and maintenance costs

  • Notify Teddy Axle Co. of the alleged defect before the warranty period expires and within:

    • sixty (60) days of discovering the defect, or

    • thirty (30) days of any accident, injury, property damage, or loss connected to the Product

The claim submission must include:

  • Description of the issue or defect

  • Product serial number

  • Purchase location and date

  • Purchaser contact information

The Purchaser must follow all instructions provided by Teddy Axle Co. regarding inspection, return, repair, or replacement. Products may not be returned, altered, or replaced without authorization.

No repairs, modifications, or part replacements may be performed by the Purchaser or third parties without written approval from Teddy Axle Co.

If Teddy Axle Co. determines that a defect exists and is not related to excluded causes, the company will provide a remedy as outlined in the “Exclusive Remedy” section.

Exclusions

This Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:

  • Improper use, misuse, or operation beyond intended design limits

  • Installation on trailers or equipment other than the original application

  • Unauthorized modifications, welding, or structural alterations

  • Improper wiring connections

  • Failure to perform routine maintenance

  • Unauthorized repairs or part replacements

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improper installation or frame attachment

  • Use of non-approved components

  • Failure to follow torque specifications and installation procedures

  • Cosmetic damage, corrosion, environmental exposure, or road-related conditions

Warranty Limitations

The Purchaser acknowledges that no representations or guarantees exist beyond those explicitly stated in this Limited Warranty. Any implied warranties permitted by law are limited to the duration of this warranty.

Teddy Axle Co. is not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of time

  • Loss of use

  • Property damage

  • Labor or installation costs

  • Towing expenses

  • Lost profits

  • Travel, lodging, or related expenses

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply in all locations.

Under no circumstances shall Teddy Axle Co.’s liability exceed the purchase price of the Product. The company reserves the right to satisfy warranty obligations through repair, replacement, or refund as outlined above.

This Limited Warranty represents the complete and exclusive agreement regarding Product warranties and supersedes all prior written or verbal statements.

Purchasers may have additional rights depending on their state or jurisdiction.
